The Nigerian Police Service Commission has approved the promotion of 3,684 inspectors to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
This was made known in a statement issued by the Head, Press and Public Relations of the commission in Abuja by Mr Ikechukwu Ani today.
The statement also noted that eight pilots were also promoted from ASP to the rank of Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSP) while two aircraft engineers were moved up to DSPs.
The promotions took effect from Jan. 1.
