NEWS: FASHOLA UNVEILS HIS 13-POINT AGENDA FOR THE POWER SECTOR, SEE WHAT HE IS PROMISING

During a maiden meeting with the stakeholders of the power generation, distribution and transmission companies in Abuja on January 11, the Minister of Power, Road and Works, Babatunde Fashola unveiled his 13-point agenda for the power sector in Nigeria.


Fashola in his address said the agenda involves:

1. Continuous public engagement on tariff collection
2. Debts
3. Power generation
4. Maintenance
5. Ancillary services
6. Dispatch orders and discipline
7. Gas requirement and constraints
8. Transmission constraints
9. 33KV load off take
10. Imbalances-locations of excess
11. Overload safety
12. Service quality
13. New captive and embedded generation
Franchising and other issues relevant to the growth of the sector.

He promised to work for a great improvement in the industry by enhancing pow‎er distribution.
