Via a Facebook post, he disclosed his personal challenge this year which is to would be a resemblance to a “simple AI” like Jarvis from Hollywood blockbuster film Iron Man, which refers to the AI butler.

Mr Zuckerberg plans to share his progress over the course of the year.

A month ago, Zuckerberg caught the headlines when he announced he was going to donate 99% of his stake in Facebook.

Consequently it became necessary for him to defend his philanthropic venture — launched alongside the celebration of the birth of his daughter; following the argument of critics that it could procure a means for him to sneak past avoid paying tax on the sale of his shares.

‘Control everything’

On Monday, Mr Zuckerberg opened up on what is cooking in his mind with his intentions to begin building the computerized house or Artificial Intelligence (AI) with technology that is already existing and he would go on to master the house to the process of understanding his voice to so as to control everything in his home from lights and music to temperature.

“This should be a fun intellectual challenge to code this for myself,” Mr Zuckerberg said.
“I’ll teach it to let friends in by looking at their faces when they ring the doorbell,” he said. “I’ll teach it to let me know if anything is going on in Max’s (his daughter’s) room that I need to check on when I’m not with her.”

The tech billionaire further said a fraction of the motivation behind this year’s challenge was sourced as the reward of building things yourself.
