Prince Abubakar  Audu

Following the collation of the Kogi State governorship election results from all the Local Government Areas in the state by officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Abubakar Audu of the All Progressives Congress has defeated the incumbent Governor Idris Wada of the Peoples Democratic Party.

The Local Government Areas, are Adabi,Ajaokuta,Ankpa,Bassa,Dekina,Ibaji,Idah,Igalamela-Odolu,Ijumu,Kabba/Bunu,Koton Karfe,Lokoja,Mopa-muro,Ofu,Ogori/Magongo,Okehi,Okene,Olamaboro.Omala,Yagba East, Yagba West

In total, Audu of the All Progressive Congress polled 240, 867 to defeat his PDP counterpart, governor Wada who had 199, 514 votes out of the 21 Local Government Areas in the state.

But from the update reaching us some minutes ago:

Reports emerging is that the election might be declared inconclusive due to the fact that the amount of invalid votes is more than the votes by which APC's Abubakar Audu is leading PDP's Idris Wada.
